Yesterday I mimicked the animals at the museum.
Today we went to Central Park and I met some squirrels and it’s hot here and I’m glad our apartment has an air conditioner.
Things that make me love America so much: $4 pint of beer with my lunch of a giant meatball brioche bun. Trains that run frequently and efficiently. Also buskers. They do buskers well here.
GPOY - Day 5 of No Wizzies
So here’s an actual update about how life’s been since I got four teeth ripped out of my mouth on Friday. It hurts so much more than I thought it would. The painkillers I was taking were really strong and really awesome, but would just knock me out every time I took them, so I basically slept 15-20 hours a day for the first three days. Then the prescription ran out because you’re not supposed to take those particular pills for longer than a few days at a time. Right on cue, I started getting really intense headaches in my temples and all I can take is Nurofen Plus to stave them off and it’s nowhere near as awesome as Mersyndol.
I rang the surgeon this morning because I was worried about how long it was taking, and he said I might have the dreaded dry socket, which has just really put the cherry on top of today.
So, basically all I can do right now is watch shit on my computer, sleep, and gum at cold, mushy food. All I want to do is eat a cheeseburger and drink a beer and leave the house because I’m starting to feel like something of a recluse.
