today:
- woke up late, went for breakfast of cocoa and cinnamon scroll at Starbucks
- walked (what felt like) halfway across Kyoto to downtown Kyoto (which I don’t think makes sense given that it is NORTH of the CBD. someone explain?)
- went shopping. bought the most adorable jackets for my puppies. Billy is going to look like a panda in roughly one week.
and tonight we’re going to Gion....
i'm in kyoto.
it’s such a beautiful city. much nicer than tokyo.
it reminds me of melbourne, in all the right ways.
on monday we’re going to hiroshima for the day, then to nara and then home, a week from tomorrow.
oh and i had the BEST japanese food of my life while here. the last 24 hours have been perfect, culinary-wise, in case you were wondering :D

and i’m spending it on a train in japan. there are worse things, i guess…
today, in tokyo, i:
- went to the Studio Ghibli museum (Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle etc etc etc). Nearly died of cuteness overload. THEY HAVE A LIFE-SIZED CAT BUS THERE.
- went to Electric City (the technology centre of Tokyo) and bought some sick headphones.
- dinner with the fam and now sitting back to ice-cream and ‘Middlesex’.
Life is so good right now.

i spent like $250 in their harajuku store today and i plan on going back for more.

oh and i found the apostrophe. it’s on the 7 key at the top of the keyboard and i have to do shift whenever i want to use it :|
